Wendy Guo
Founder / Executive Director
Wendy Guo has been shaping tennis players in Howard County since 2012. A PTR-certified Junior Development Professional and nationally competitive player, Wendy claimed 3rd Place at the 2022 USTA Adult 4.0 National Championship and won the 2025 Maryland Open Pickleball Championship — she doesn’t just coach the game, she lives it. In 2022, Wendy founded Tennis Atypical with a clear mission: expand tennis access for Asian youth, female athletes, and neurodiverse players. Her specialized training programs have accelerated dozens of students to high school varsity rosters, while her neuro-inclusive curriculum has opened the court to children on the autism spectrum who might never have had the opportunity to play. In 2026, Wendy was appointed USTA Tournament Director for the Mid-Atlantic region, hosting sanctioned junior circuit tournaments from 12U through 18U — a recognition of both her technical expertise and her commitment to growing the sport at every level. Wendy currently coaches and directs Tennis Atypical from Woodbine, MD, where her belief remains simple: tennis is for everyone.
Jeremy Ollayos, CPA
Board Treasurer
Jeremy Ollayos, CPA, has more than 12 years of experience in public accounting, serving clients across a variety of industries, including nonprofit organizations, employee benefit plans, and government contractors. He has extensive expertise in nonprofit auditing and financial reporting, including Uniform Guidance compliance and audit requirements. Passionate about financial stewardship and community impact, Jeremy provides leadership in governance, compliance, and strategic financial oversight. As Treasurer, he is committed to helping Tennis Atypical advance its mission through sound fiscal management, effective internal controls, and thoughtful leadership.

Amy Luo
Board Secretary
Amy Luo is the Secretary of the Board at Tennis Atypical. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Public Health at Johns Hopkins University and brings extensive experience tutoring children with learning disabilities outside of her academic studies. As both a public health researcher and recreational tennis player, Amy is passionate about promoting the physical, mental, and social benefits of sport as well as advancing inclusivity in tennis so that players of all abilities have the opportunity to benefit from and learn to love the sport as well.

Gabriella Kerechanin
Director of Social Media
Gabriella Kerechanin brings eight years of competitive tennis experience and a vibrant passion for community engagement to her role as Director of Social Media. A dedicated athlete, she currently competes on the University of Maryland’s club tennis team. For Gabriella, the court is a vital space for connecting with the outdoors, building meaningful relationships, and finding joy in active play. As Director of Social Media, she channels this same immense energy, focus, and dedication into amplifying the organization’s mission—using creative digital storytelling to foster inclusive spaces, celebrate our athletes, and connect our community both on and off the court.

Andrew Qu
Director of Technology
Andrew Qu is the Director of Technology for Tennis Atypical, where he oversees the digital strategy and leads the development of the organization’s website. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. As a developer for Tennis Atypical, Andrew has been instrumental in shaping the organization’s vision from the ground up, designing a structured mentorship ecosystem that empowers student volunteers and neurodiverse youth alike. He channels his deep commitment to community leadership and organized problem-solving into building a seamless, accessible digital home for the foundation. By bridging community outreach with reliable technical direction, Andrew ensures that our digital platforms effectively support our growing network of families, coaches, and young athletes on and off the court.

Lucy Qian
Advisory Committee Member
Lucy Qian is a student at Harvard College studying Neuroscience on the pre-med track. Originally from Clarksville, Maryland, Lucy brings a unique blend of scientific insight and athletic discipline to the Tennis Atypical Advisory Committee. With over 14 years of award-winning competitive ballet experience, she currently serves as a performing member and the Publicity Chair for the Harvard Ballet Company. At Tennis Atypical, Lucy draws on her extensive background in movement to provide young athletes with specialized balance and coordination training. By challenging the way their brain, muscles, and sensory systems communicate, she helps participants build muscle memory and prevent injuries. Lucy is deeply passionate about the intersection of movement and neuroscience, championing the belief that sports and the arts are vital tools for emotional regulation, sensory processing, and building lifelong confidence both on and off the court.

Charles Lu
Advisory Committee Member
Charles serves as an Advisory Committee Member at Tennis Atypical, bringing extensive professional experience in Early Intervention and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). In his practice, Charles focuses on helping children develop vital communication, social, and daily living skills while supporting families through individualized, evidence-based interventions. Currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis at George Mason University, Charles is deeply passionate about helping children reach their full potential and creating positive, lasting changes in their lives. His clinical insights and behavioral expertise play a key role in guiding the organization’s neuro-inclusive training programs and curriculum development.
